Makers & Movers – The Future of Supply Chain Summit

Over the last three decades, the global supply chains have increasingly been connecting countries around the world supplying groceries, perishable goods, the clothes we wear everyday, the healthcare equipment, or the electronics we use in our day-to-day life and work. While some disruptions in the supply chains were expected and planned for, the pandemic lockdowns at different times for different countries, as well as the massive shift to e-commerce for individual shopping, led to high amplitude disruptions that made us aware which countries are supplying which parts of our phones.

Before the pandemic, when asking a random person if they knew what the supply chain was, chances are they didn’t know what it was. But now, even someone who has less or no idea of what the supply chain does will at least know how important it is! We all experienced shortages- rushing to grocery stores, hoping to get that last supply of the things we needed. From logistics to e-commerce and transportation, in the past 2 years, we all had a clearer view of how it works.

Transformation and digitization of supply chains are accelerating, resilience strategies are continuously put in place, actions, measurements, and standards towards sustainable supply chains are evolving, and the talent needed to run the supply chains of the future is being re-molded. It’s an exciting time for the supply chains and we at Alcott Global are inviting you to take the front seats at the biggest virtual summit, to see for yourself the future of supply chains in the making.

As part of our goal to connect the supply chain ecosystem, we have been inviting global supply chain leaders on the stage of our Makers & Movers summits to create awareness, gain insights, and a broader perspective on the different topics and challenges within the industry. On the 10th of November 2021, at the Makers & MoversThe Future of Supply Chain Summit, over fifty of the best leaders in the industry will discuss supply chain orchestration, new generation supply chain leadership, managing transportation cost, cold chain, sustainability, and the circular economy, competitive collaboration, and the latest technologies- what is hype and what is real.

The summit has a virtual exhibitors hall where participants can learn about the various digital solutions available in the supply chain space, showcased by the Gold Sponsors Augury, FarEye, Google Cloud, Kinaxis, Logmore, Maersk, Orkestra SCS, and o9 Solutions, Inc. as well as the Silver Sponsors of the Makers & Movers summit: Arcstone, Blue Yonder, Controlant, e2log, JLL, and Sensitech

McKinsey & Company is the Knowledge Partner of Makers & MoversThe Future of Supply Chain Summit facilitating conversations on supply chain risk, digital twin, high complexity supply chain setup, and planning.

Participants in the summit should expect to engage in insightful sessions, but also to share, contribute to conversations alongside like-minded decision-makers in speed lounges and cocktail lounges that will be available throughout the day of the summit. There will be numerous learning opportunities on how the strategic decisions around distribution are made and what are the main priorities for some of the main leaders in the world.

There are still some surprises in store for the participants in the summit that will be revealed in the following weeks.
