Alcott Global will be hosting a webinar entitled, “Preparing for COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution in APAC” on the 15th of December, 4:00 PM SGT. With the recent development of the COVID-19 vaccine, one question is prevalent in everyone’s mind, “How will the distribution of the vaccine work? What are the standards and setups needed?”
Currently, more than 250 potential COVID-19 vaccines are being developed worldwide. The estimated number of vaccine doses that would need to be delivered to all corners of the world within two years is around ten billion. Some logistics companies estimate the need for 15 million deliveries in cooling boxes, 200,000 movements by pallet shippers, and 15,000 flights across the various supply chain setups.
In this webinar, we will expand more on this topic and get insights from professionals in the industry. Joining as panelists are Tom Vanmolkot, EVP Distribution and Client Services at Zuellig Pharma, Daniel Chee Chung Wong, Vice President, Strategy, Planning & Engineering (Cargo Services) at SATS, Michael Culme-Seymour, Advisor at World Health Organization, and Lim Ching Kiat, Managing Director of Air Hub Development Changi Airport Group. Some of the main topics that we will tackle include how the key supply chain players are preparing for the vaccine distribution, the biggest challenges and unknowns so far, how to mitigate the latter, and how the APAC region will solve distribution challenges.
