In a previous study on Indonesia’s State of E-Commerce in 2019, our media partner, Parcel Monitor found that e-commerce in Indonesia had a lot of potential and room for growth. While it isn’t a secret that the pandemic-driven shift towards online shopping boosted e-commerce growth, how much has Indonesia’s state of e-commerce grown over the past year? 

Parcel Monitor’s in-house data team took a deep dive into the second half of 2020 in Indonesia and here are some insightful findings made by them:

  1. The average transit time to the first delivery attempt was 1.7 days
  2. 94% of parcels are successfully delivered at the first attempt 
  3. 58.7% of international shipments originated from the US and China
